What began as a small group of dedicated women has grown into a prominent civic force known throughout Autauga County. Their annual craft and vendor shows have become beloved community traditions, drawing hundreds of families, vendors, and donors each season. Every dollar raised stays local and is directed entirely toward the charities, scholarships, and community organizations that make Prattville a place worth investing in.

Women Who Show Up for Their Community.

The Prattville Spinners are an all-volunteer women's service league whose members are united by a shared belief that local giving creates lasting change. Members come from all walks of life across the Prattville area and collectively contribute hundreds of volunteer hours each year with events, to community partners, and to one another.

The organization is entirely volunteer-led, with no paid staff. Members coordinate event logistics, manage vendor relations, organize drawings (including the beloved quilt drawing handmade by members each fall) and steward the relationships with local nonprofits they have built over decades. Every task is handled by someone who chose to show up.

Over the years, fund-raising efforts have varied.  The Spinners have held quilt shows, fashion shows, rummage sales, horse shows, pancake breakfasts, bake sales, cookbook sales, and concerts. Net proceeds have been given out in grants to a multitude of worthy causes and organizations such as the Prattville Fire Department, the Prattville-Autauga Library, the Prattville YMCA, The Prattville Rescue Squad, the City of Prattville Scholarship Fund, Autuagua County DHR Foster Care, Autauga Chirstmas Team, Louise M Smith Development Center, Autauga County Health Department, and others. 

Being a Spinner means showing up: for vendors who need booth guidance, for families who come to enjoy the shows, and for the community organizations whose work the Spinners help fund. It is fellowship through action, rooted in the same spirit that founded the league in 1951 and still defines it today.

Spinners Park: A Community Legacy.

Spinners Park, located at 390 West 6th Street in Prattville, Alabama, is the home base of The Prattville Spinners and the venue for both of their signature annual events. More than just an address, the park has become a gathering place that generations of Prattville families associate with celebration, community, and seasonal tradition. Which is a living expression of everything the organization stands for.

Each spring and fall, the park transforms into a bustling marketplace hosting over 100 vendors, food trucks, live activity areas, and thousands of visitors. Its open layout and familiar setting create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps attendees returning year after year, and that keeps the Spinners' impact growing with every season.
